My Brother, Andrew
After losing my brother in April 2021, I began channeling my grief into new artistic mediums. This project is a collection of that work.
Memorial Invitation
Andrew was one of the most talented people I've ever known. Among his many talents, he was a musician with a particular gift for 6-string bass. The invitations for his memorial were inspired by the music he loved and vintage show flyers.
In the immediate wake of Andrew's passing, I began to paint for the first time. Below are a series of paintings I created for Andrew's memorial service.
Mediums: acrylic on canvas, acrylic on wood, alcohol-based ink on paper.
